Sgesensia (Moqatuti: Sgëse, Uhasada: Sgesensujultuva) is one of the six home planets. It has a total population of 38,700,000, mostly of Sgesensian origin. Sgesensia has the lowest population number of all six home planets and is the least developed planet of all six. The planet is mostly covered by arid steppes and savannahs, with large tundras near the poles. Only a small percentage of the coastal regions is covered by mangroves and mediterranean vegetation.
Sgesensian society is the most traditional society of all seven human races. When first contact was made between Sgesensia and the rest of the Union of Nation States, Sgesensia was stuck in the equivalent of the late medieval age on Terra.
Large parts of Sgesensia are almost devoid of inhabitants, and most of the surface is not cultivated. Most Sgesensian communities support themselves with a combination of livestock keeping and small scale crop growing. The cities on the planet are predominantly built on fertile plateaus. The inhabitants of Sgesensia opted to form a single federation that is equal to a sovereign, independent state on the other home planets. This federation, the Organization of Sgesensian Domains, is subdivided in more than 80 domains, the successors of the former sovereign nations of Sgesensia. The largest and most populous domains are the Domain of Espeka and Hupres, the Domain of the Hunters and the Domain of the Western Plateau and Northwest Valbara.
The lingua franca of Sgesensia are Moqatuti (Standard Moqa) and Uhasada.
